Our Faculty & Staff
Dr. Gisele Giorgi, Ph.D
Dr. Giorgi obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.S. in Biology from Georgetown University. She also did postdoctoral research at LBNL and studied microscopy at MBL. She has done research in gene expression (isolating Heat Shock Factor 1), the role of tight junctions in the wound healing of a mammary epithelial sheet, the pH of the TGN, and nuclear architecture. She is a full-time, tenured Professor at Merritt College and co-founded and now directs the Merritt Microscopy Program. email@example.com
Tobey Colston, M.S.
Professor Colston obtained an M.S. in Medical Health Sciences from Touro University, and a B.S. in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of Washington. Her research focused on increasing the chemosensitivity of tumor cells, and genetically preventing cellular senescence to promote apoptosis. She is a graduate of the Merritt Microscopy Program, and is now a Professor for the Merritt Biology Department. firstname.lastname@example.org, D218.
Harris Ingle, B.S.
Harris is a graduate of the program and he now works as a an assistant program co-ordinator. email@example.com, D243
Dr. Brian Rowning, Ph.D
Dr. Rowning obtained a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from U.C. Berkeley, and a B.A. in Biology from Reed College. He did postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and U.W. Seattle/HHMI. He has published research on the roles of cytoskeletal mechanisms and critical signaling pathways in vertebrate pattern formation and cancer. He is a Professor for the Merritt Microscopy Program and also a coordinator for the Merritt Genomics Program. firstname.lastname@example.org
Hank Fabian, D.A.
Professor Fabian is one of the co-founders of the MMP and he also is the Director of the Genomics Program. He is a full-time, tenured Professor who also teaches anatomy and natural history courses. email@example.com, D215.
Peter Werner, B.S.
Peter is a graduate of the program and he works as an assistant program co-ordinator, and as staff at Ohlone College. firstname.lastname@example.org, D243
